This beautiful cast brass duck would be treasure for any brass or bird figurine collector. This piece shows the features of a mallard duck: large, well-defined feathers on it's back, smooth, tiny feathers on its head and diagonal bars of feathers by the wing tips.

This piece was made by Sarsaparilla Design, a metal foundry in West New York, NJ, that recently went out of business after over 50 years of production. I was able to acquire some of their older work, including this piece.

This piece has been stored in a warehouse for years, and some oxidation is natural. the piece is otherwise in perfect condition.
