The Obelisk, called TEJEN in the sacred language of the ancient Egyptiams was a term synonymous with protection or Defense. The pointed top of the oblelisk is to pierce the heavens and defuse evil forses that always threaten as bad weather. For this reason obelisks were placed over temples.
