The boy King of Egypt's great Empire ruled from 1342-1323BC. He ascended to the throne at age 9 and died mysteriously at the age of 18. His tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter and the British Lord Carnarvan. The tomb was said to hold a curse which led to the untimely death of Carnarvan and five others present at the tomb opening. The warning at the tomb read: "They who enter this sacred tomb shall swift be visited by wings of death." Mystery also surrounded the death of King Tut himself. A hole was found at the back of his head and foul-play has long been suspected.
