"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall..." We all know the nursery rhyme, but the actual Humpty Dumpty was a powerful cannon used during the English Civil War (1642-49). It was mounted on top of the St Marys church in Colchester to act as a defense against the seige of 1648. The church tower was hit by enemy fire and the top of the tower was blown of. Humpty Dumpty was sent tumbling to the ground. Naturally the King's men tried to mend him but in vain.
This version sits securely atop his wall in no danger of a fall. Standing 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, it makes a great garden piece.

About Americana
Styles of popular artifacts and collectibles have emerged in the 20th century. Trademarks, cartoon characters, Movie and Entertainment Stars, Sports Figures, and even a can of campbells soup by Andy Warhole have all become part of our collectialbles culture. What would America be without Norman Rockwell, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis Presley, The Peanuts, The Yankees, and MTV? Pretty darned boring.

Arkahdia Arts Studio, a European immigrant now living in New York started a studio dedicated to casting these pieces of Art. By focusing the business on two goals;(1) to save pieces which have been produced in another medium in bygone times, and (2) to bring new artist's work to the public, the product lines have prospered, delighted and excited.
