Hercules and Diomedes, the famous statue of their stuggle by artist, Vincenzo dei Rossi, a follower of Michelangelo.The sculpture depicts Hercules throwing Diomedes, the son of the god of war, Ares, to his death by his own man-eating mares. This piece will arrive in whitewear if a finish is not ordered.

The Greeks had plenty of beautiful marble and used it freely for
temples as well as for their sculpture. They were not satisfied with
its cold whiteness, however, and painted both their statues and
their buildings.The Parthenon sculptures are the greatest works
of Greek art that have come down to modern times.
