Aspirin has been used in one form or another as a treatment for pain for over 2500 years. The Greek physician Hippocrates (460-377B.C.) left records of his work in which the bark of Willow trees was used to treat pain in his patients. This bark was used by the Myans, native Americans and others as a pain treatement until 1829 when scientists discovered Salicilic acid as the active ingredient. Since Aspirin has been a staple drug for pain and circulatory difficulties. The accurate Company and batch markings on the front side of the aspirin make it seem to be an oversized pill. The piece is available in any color, but we suggest white!

About Americana
Styles of popular artifacts and collectibles have emerged in the 20th century. Trademarks, cartoon characters, Movie and Entertainment Stars, Sports Figures, and even a can of campbells soup by Andy Warhole have all become part of our collectialbles culture. What would America be without Norman Rockwell, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis Presley, The Peanuts, The Yankees, and MTV? Pretty darned boring.

Arkahdia Arts Studio, a European immigrant now living in New York started a studio dedicated to casting these pieces of Art. By focusing the business on two goals;(1) to save pieces which have been produced in another medium in bygone times, and (2) to bring new artist's work to the public, the product lines have prospered, delighted and excited.
